The amount of plastics in a car increases from year to year. This general trend is driven both by cost reasons and by the aim to reduce the weight of a car which results in lower fuel consumption. For example a today's standard car is made by 15% out of plastic materials. 20 years ago the amount was half of it.
In interior applications such as trims or panels often pp/talc is used, high glossy panels for the decoration of middle consoles are made of PMMA or PC/ABS. All these materials are sensitive to scratches. Each scratch destroys the high value perception of a car interior why the surfaces needs to be protected against scratches. We offer TEGOMER® antiscratch additives that can be used directly in the compound for all standard polymer which are used for car interior & exterior applications.

- TEGOMER® AntiScratch 100
TEGOMER® Antiscratch 100 significantly increases the scratch resistance of plastic compounds (pp/talc) used for car interior applications like door panels or center console trims. In contrast to standard additives TEGOMER® AntiScratch 100 guarantees a durable and long lasting effect.
